CTR and SEO Ranking

Post by roseline371277 »

This is what we do on our blog, adding people and elements to the featured images:

Providing additional information with the help of screenshots, videos, gifs, infographics, etc., is also a plus that none of your readers will want to miss and will ultimately make them click on your posts more.

To increase your CTR through images, follow these steps:

Add ALT Text attributes to images: even if you can see what is in the image, Google cannot differentiate between them; so that not only your article but also your image is indexed, add the ALT attribute.
So, alt text is what Google uses to figure out what an image is about and you should try to put in the keyword and be as concise as possible.

That's the code used for alt text, so remember that Google penalizes over-optimization, so you want to put in text that really flows effortlessly.

If you are a WordPress user, this is where you place the alt text:

Add additional information with the image title: Just like with your article title, don't use too many characters and describe your image in a few words; this can be different from the alternative text.
Use the title to credit the source or owner of the image: If you use an image licensed under Creative Commons, you will need to place the HTML code provided by Prexels, for example, and the viewer will only be shown the source of the image (without the code). Once you have uploaded the image to WordPress, you can easily do this.
Place optimized images: If your images are too heavy, people will leave your site because of the loading time; make sure you change the width to 700 in WordPress itself, but don't make them look blurry. By simply clicking on the image, you'll be able to see this block on the side and edit it.

Step 6: Activate Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs help potential users navigate your site and find your content more easily.

We can see this clearly when a kind of content path appears under the headline in the search results.

Example: Ladies > Clothing > Casual > Shirts. These simple guidelines show the reader the sections where the content is located within the site.

When searching for digital security safes on Google Mobile you will get something like this:

The path will appear instead of the actual link, which is usually with diagonals (/). The path is with arrows (><).

Google announced that this change will be seen for now in searches made area code philippines mobile from mobile devices, where the usual link will be replaced by breadcrumbs.

They can certainly be an important incentive to increase CTR because they offer users an easier way to navigate your website.

Although it may seem obvious to us that the CTR is a mandatory or determining metric for the positioning of our website in Google, this is not entirely proven.

There are many theories revolving around SEO in Google, including CTR as an element that impacts the ranking of pages in search results.

However, this year there were some lights that indicate that at least indirectly the CTR does influence SEO.

Google engineer Paul Haahr said at an event in early 2016 that they do use query and click data when working on rankings.
