Broadcast channels are coming to Facebook and Messenger and will roll out globally in the coming months.
Facebook Page managers can use them to create more in-depth interactions with their followers.
Anyone can join broadcast channels to stay up-to-date on their favorite Pages and to delve deeper into the topics that matter to them.
Mark Zuckerberg announced the arrival of Broadcast Channels on Facebook and Messenger. This public communication feature for Facebook Pages is the latest addition to the tools available to Page admins (creators, public figures) to interact directly and more deeply with their communities. Broadcast 1000 mobile number database strengthen the connection with followers and allow them to delve deeper into the topics that matter to them. Page admins can use various features like polls to instantly gather feedback from their communities, send behind-the-scenes photos or videos, or express themselves more authentically with voice notes.

Creating Page-related broadcast channels is currently being tested, and we expect to roll them out globally in the coming months. Any Facebook member will be able to join these broadcast channels to stay up-to-date with news from their favorite Pages.

Functioning :

If you manage a Facebook Page in a market where broadcast channels are already available, you can launch one directly from your Page. If this feature isn't available yet, you can join the waitlist here and you'll be notified as soon as it's available in your country.

Once the broadcast channel is created and the first message is sent, the Page's followers will receive a one-time notification inviting them to join the channel. Only the person who created the channel can send messages, but members of the broadcast channel can react to them and participate in polls.

You can join broadcast channels from your favorite Facebook Page and from the Channels folder in Messenger. Once you join a channel, you'll receive notifications for any new content posted. These notifications can be muted using the dedicated icon in the top right corner of the channel feed.

Existing broadcast channels:

Among the broadcast channels already available on Facebook and Messenger in France, we find the accounts of: the French Football Team , Ligue 1 Uber Eats , Star Academy , CANAL+ , Allociné , Foot Mercato , Top 14 Rugby , Fun Radio and the creator Nicocapone .

Security and confidentiality:

To ensure users feel safe, we've implemented the Facebook and Messenger Community Standards for broadcast channels. Users can report a broadcast channel itself or specific content shared within it, which may be removed if it violates our policies.

Because Broadcast Channels are public, publicly accessible chat experiences, they receive different treatment than private messages on Facebook and Messenger. We rely on tools and reviewers to identify, evaluate, and remove content from Broadcast Channels that may violate our Community Standards, often before anyone has a chance to see it.
