What to sell after October 18?

Post by Bappy11 »

Since the social outbreak, most micro and small businesses are having a hard time. Sales have fallen, and many are having difficulty paying salaries. Christmas sales helped somewhat, but still much slower than in other years.

However, there are some (few) businesses that have managed to take advantage of opportunities arising from the crisis.

What other opportunities are there? Here are some ideas.

Security. Many people are afraid, and they hire security services. Security guard australia business email list companies, or companies that sell security-related products (e.g. cameras) are selling well.
Repairs and construction: Businesses linked to construction are projected to have a good 2020. For example, businesses related to painting, repairs, cement or construction supplies.

Government suppliers: In the face of a stagnant economy, government spending will increase. This opens up opportunities for government suppliers.
Mental Health: Many mental health-related businesses are seeing more clients than usual. This is not just psychologists or psychiatrists, but also alternative therapy centers, meditation or yoga.
Export: The dollar is projected to be high (between 750 and 800 pesos per USD). A high dollar makes the work of importers very difficult. However, it opens up many opportunities for exporters. Online businesses, agricultural businesses, or any local producer that exports will benefit.
Inferior goods: In economics there are what are called normal goods and inferior goods. Normal goods are those that, when you have more money, you buy more, and when you have less, you buy less. However, there are what are called inferior goods, which the more money you have, the less you want this good! Let me give you an example: Imagine a family that eats rice and egg 5 days a week for lunch, and a delicious shredded beef with duchess potatoes and avocado twice a week. When the economy is doing well, and there is employment, families will be able to eat shredded beef more often and rice and egg less often. But when the economy is doing badly, and there is unemployment, families may end up consuming rice and egg every day. This is an example of an inferior good, which we all turn to in times when we have to tighten our belts. Producers of inferior goods will do better in 2020 than in 2019. Some examples: detergent producers (without a brand), or sellers of used clothing.
